Leucidal Liquid Product Line




Leucidal® Liquid
INCI (approved): Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate
Properties: Derived from Leuconostoc kimchii, the bacterium that has tradition­ally been used to make fermented Kimchi.
This product consists of a peptide that is produced by the bacterial culture during the fermentation process which has shown to have antimicrobial benefits.
This ferment filtrate provides an effective combination of skin conditioning, moisturizing, and antimicrobial properties.

Leucidal® Liquid SF   (Salicylate-free)
INCI (approved): Lactobacillus Ferment
Properties: A probiotic based ingredient created by the fermentation of Lactobacillus in a defined growth medium.
The specific manufacturing process yields a unique peptide with broad spectrum, antimicrobial and conditioning properties. This product of fermentation is salicylate-free.

Leucidal® Liquid PT  (Powdered or Spray Treatments)
INCI (conforms): Lactobacillus Ferment
Properties: A broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent that compliments current trends for natural cosmetics and peptide technology. Leucidal Liquid PT is a fermentation product of Lactobacillus in the presence of undecylenic acid, derived from castor oil (a sustainable vegetable resource). During fermentation, the pH and oxygen levels are manipulated to stress the Lactobacillus culture, inducing the production of beneficial secondary metabolites. The result is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial product with probiotic skin conditioning properties. The biotransformation of undecylenic acid by the Lactobacillus generates water-soluble undecylenates which enhance the anti-fungal activity of the product while providing surface treatment benefits. As a result, this product is ideal for incorporation into a wide range of color cosmetics, emulsion systems and aqueous products.

Ingredients:
Phase I:
Sodium Phytate – 0.20%
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract – 0.50% - Obtained From Formulator Sample Shop
Carbomer – 1.40%

Phase II:
Water – 2.00%
Trietholamine – 0.70%

Phase III:
Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate - 3.00%
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate -  5.00%
Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine – 2.50%

Phase IV:
Polyethylene – 4.00%
Cranberry Enzyme PBF - 10.00% Obtained from Formulator Sample Shop
Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil – 2.50%

Phase V:
Lecudial Liquid SF – 2.00% - Obtained from Formulator Sample Shop


Instructions:


Phase I:                Charge water into main beaker and begin propeller mixing.  A vortex should form.  Charge Dermofeel PA-3.  Sift in  Aloe Powder.  Sift in Ultrez 10 and begin heating to 70°C.  Continue mixing for 15 minutes.
Phase II:               Pre-blend and add to main.
Phase III:             Switch to sweep mixing.  At 70°C, add each ingredient.
Phase IV:             Begin force cooling.  Add each ingredient at 45°C.
Phase V:              Add at 45°C.
